Many things can be true at once (maybe). I don’t trust AI related research that is more than six months old either.

Yet the behaviors, cultural norms and constraints of large scale enterprises can still be rooted in that Iron Cage.

You're absolutely right Brian. Two things can be true at the same time and older theories can certainly explain current conditions.

The tech is moving fast, as well as related social implications. However, basic human behaviors, needs, and motivations change very little. The trick is balancing the two areas.

You're definitely right about that Todd. Human behavior changes very little unless it has to.

One of the more helpful resources for me (instead of research) is long podcasts with the smartest practitioner (mostly AI researchers) working at the edge of all that’s happening.

There are at least a few that go live early week. They’re often 2-3 hours long, and sometimes I need help from LLMs to make sense of them, but they’ve been the most helpful resource in understanding what’s happening and how to make sense of things strategically.

I can see how those would be really helpful especially if they're speaking to particular issues or concerns that you're focused on. At this point in time I don't listen to any podcasts on the topic but it's not that I'm opposed to it.
