This is Your Weekly Reboot of AI Can Do That?
The ultimate time to rewind, rethink, reload and reboot—#16
I write about leadership from both sides of the desk. But, I also explore AI and why teaching critical thinking about it is more important than ever.
Please hit the heart ❤️, restack 🔄, subscribe 📨, and all that jazz to help spread the word! 🙌
I cannot believe we are heading into August, that July is almost over. It was a month of celebration for me. As most of you know, it was my birthday this month. The other day, I finally got my digital store up and running. That was a huge accomplishment and far more tedious than I could have ever imagined uploading them.
Right now, it has leadership digital products in it, but in the very near future, it’s going to have much, much more. Content related to AI, high school, college students, and adults. So keep your eye out for good stuff to come.
I’m also about to hit the 500-subscriber milestone. I’m very, very close, and hopefully by the beginning of August, I’ll be there. If you know anybody interested in leadership, please feel free to pass along my website info. And if you know people who don’t really know much about ChatGPT or AI, send them my way. I’m writing stuff for everyday people.
We’re so inundated with it here on Substack, online, and on social media. But out in the real world, a lot of people have no clue. They don’t really understand what it all is. They don’t use it. It’s not in their face like it is in ours.
So if you know somebody who just wants to get a better understanding of it, how to use it, and how it can help them write, I’ve got them covered.
Curious about Custom GPTs?
Send me a DM and we can talk about what they do and how to use them. Due to high demand, I’m no longer offering free access to the one I built for career exploration, but I’m happy to answer any questions ⤵

Here is a shoutout to my favorite piece of the week by
: How I Use ChatGPT to Catch My Biases (Daniel Kahneman Would Approve)This post takes a look at the different kinds of biases we can fall into, like confirmation bias, the halo effect, the planning fallacy, the availability heuristic, and the anchoring effect. It explains what those are and how we can interact with ChatGPT in ways that help us avoid those traps.
It really does have this insatiable desire to be liked. It will be your biggest fan if you let it. That’s why it’s more important than ever to ask questions in a way that helps you get the least biased answer.
Daria walks through all of that in this article. What I like is that she gives examples of the kinds of questions that can easily lead us into our biases, and better ways to reframe them to keep it from happening.
📌 Still thinking about bias and AI 🤔Tech Toolbox: Tools I’m Loving Right Now 🛠
My favorite tech tool this week: Tab Suspender
I recently cleaned out my computer. My CPU and memory usage were spiking. My system needed some serious resuscitation because it was gasping for oxygen.
One of the fixes was a Chrome extension called Tab Suspender and it can be used on both Mac and PCs. It automatically puts your open tabs to sleep after a set amount of time that you define. It’s fairly customizable, and it’s been extremely helpful because I always have way too many tabs running. Usually more than 20 at once. And it was draining the life out of my system.
The constant tab activity was setting off my antivirus, spiking CPU usage, and creating this endless loop of slowdown. This extension was one of several things I tried, which I shared in my Monday post if you’re interested. But if you’re someone who always has a gazillion tabs open like me, this might be worth checking out.
